America’s Great Loop: Delphia launches its program
Nearly 6,000 miles of waterways connect the United States and Canada along canals, rivers, the Great Lakes, and the Atlantic coastline. America’s Great Loop is one of North America’s most iconic cruising routes. To help boaters embark on this adventure, Delphia is launching its Great Loop Program in the United States, with three yachts already available on American waters: two Delphia 11 and one Delphia 12.
Future owners can start planning their trip now, with departures possible as early as spring 2027. As part of the Great Loop Program, Delphia will cover the diesel fuel required to complete the route, subject to the program’s terms and conditions.
What is America’s Great Loop ?
America’s Great Loop is a major navigable circuit in eastern North America. Boaters can choose where to begin their journey. For those starting in Florida, for example, the route follows the Atlantic coast of the United States, heads north through canals and the Great Lakes, then follows inland rivers before reaching the Gulf of Mexico. Along the way, boaters navigate the canals of New York State and may cross into Canada.
The route covers approximately 6,000 statute miles, equivalent to nearly 9,650 kilometers or 5,200 nautical miles. Most crews choose to complete the journey over several months, making the most of the boating seasons and allowing time to explore the regions along the way.
Locks, fixed bridges, shallow waters, and long stretches between some refueling points are all part of the journey. To navigate America’s Great Loop, a boat needs suitable dimensions, reasonable fuel consumption, sufficient range, and a comfortable living space.
What does Delphia’s Great Loop Program include ?
Through its Great Loop Program, Delphia is making three yachts available for the journey across North America. The boats have already been built and are currently located in the United States. Future owners can arrange a viewing now and use the coming months to familiarize themselves with their boat before setting off.
Delphia will cover the cost of the diesel fuel used along the route, subject to the program’s terms and conditions. This support helps future owners plan their journey and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Become a Delphia Loop Ambassador
Delphia is also looking for a future owner to become the Delphia Loop Ambassador. The selected owner will receive the necessary equipment to capture photos and videos throughout the journey.
Life on board, the landscapes, the people met along the way, and the day-to-day reality of months afloat on a Delphia: the ambassador will document their adventure and share the experience with the Delphia community.
Which Delphia yachts are available for America’s Great Loop in 2027 ?
Delphia’s Great Loop Program currently includes three boats already located in the United States: two Delphia 11 and one Delphia 12. Two yachts are based in Fort Myers, Florida, while the third is located in Portland, Oregon.
Two Delphia 11 in Florida and Portland
The first boat available through the Delphia Great Loop Program is a brand-new Delphia 11 Sedan. Located on Florida’s west coast, close to the Great Loop route, it features two cabins and one head.
The second boat is also Delphia 11, located in Portland, Oregon. Its future owner will be able to explore the Columbia River and the San Juan Islands before having the boat transported to the eastern United States to join America’s Great Loop.
A Delphia 12 Flylounge available in Florida
A brand-new Delphia 12 Flylounge is also available for future Great Loop travelers departing from Florida. It features two cabins and two heads.
Why choose a Delphia yacht for America’s Great Loop?
Spending several months navigating a wide variety of waterways requires the right balance of autonomy, simplicity, comfort, and ease of use.
Designed for cruising and extended stays on board, the Delphia 11 and Delphia 12 are suited to both inland waterways and coastal cruising. Their characteristics meet many of the requirements of America’s Great Loop.
Controlled fuel consumption over nearly 6,000 miles
On a journey of this length, fuel consumption directly affects the overall travel budget and the frequency of refueling stops. The Delphia 11 has a fuel consumption of 2.5 liters per hour, while the Delphia 12 uses 3 liters per hour. This efficiency helps boaters cover long distances while keeping fuel consumption under control.
A draft, air draft, and range suited to the route
The shallow draft of both Delphia models helps make cruising on inland waterways and in shallow waters easier. Foldable masts and antennas reduce air draft, allowing the boats to pass beneath low bridges along the route.
A motor yacht designed for life on board
During the months spent navigating America’s Great Loop, the boat becomes the owners’ home. Delphia yachts offer cabins, storage compartments, a galley, and lounge areas designed for everyday comfort and practicality, whether traveling with a small crew, family, or friends.
Large windows fill the interior with natural light, while the open-plan layout between the saloon and cockpit makes moving around easier and encourages time together. The result is a bright, welcoming living space designed for extended stays on board and cruising at your own pace.
A fourth yacht coming soon to Canada
Starting in January 2027, a fourth new Delphia yacht will be available to travelers in Montreal, Canada. This will be a Delphia 12 Flylounge, featuring two cabins and two heads.
